The Ethiopian Artificial Intelligence Institute (EAII) and Ehud AI Studio are proud to present "Echoes of Adwa," a groundbreaking AI music competition. We invite creators to blend Ethiopia's heroic history with the cutting-edge power of Artificial Intelligence to usher in a new era for the nation’s creative industry.

Prizes & Rewards

We are awarding a total prize pool of 1,000,000 ETB plus exclusive AI credits to our top visionaries:

1st Place 500,000 ETB and 100,000 EhudAI Credits

2nd Place 300,000 ETB and 60,000 EhudAI Credits

3rd Place 200,000 ETB and 40,000 EhudAI Credits

Eligibility & Guidelines

• Who can join: Ethiopians or legal residents aged 18+. Diaspora members are welcome (must have a local bank representative).

• Entry Type: Individual entries only. One (1) submission per person.

• Language: Open to Amharic, Afaan Oromoo, Tigrinya, English, or any Ethiopian language.

• The Theme: The core focus must be the Victory of Adwa. Themes of national unity and positivity are highly encouraged.

• Zero Tolerance: Content promoting hate speech, ethnic conflict, or political partisanship will be immediately disqualified.

AI Usage & Technical Specs

To ensure a fair and tech-forward competition, please adhere to these requirements:

• AI Contribution: At least 70% of the track must be generated using AI.

• Tools: Use reputable AI platforms such as Ehudai, Suno, Udio, etc.

• Verification: You must provide the source link from the AI tool used to prove authenticity and prevent deepfakes.

• Format: High-quality MP3 or WAV.

• Length: Between 2 to 5 minutes.

Judging Criteria

The final score is a hybrid of Professional Jury (60%) and Public Voting (40%).

Criterion Weight Focus Area

• Originality & Creativity - Prompt engineering, composition, and artistic vision.

• Thematic Relevance - How well the song captures the Spirit of Adwa.

• Technical Quality - Audio fidelity and seamless AI production.

• Lyrical Depth - Poetic form, emotional impact, and message.

Important Dates (Ethiopian Calendar)

• Official Launch: Yekatit 23

• Submission Deadline: Megabit 21 (Midnight)

• Public Voting Phase: Yekatit 23 – Megabit 21

• Grand Award Ceremony: Megabit 26 (at the EAII Campus)

How to Enter

1. Create: Generate your Adwa-themed masterpiece using AI.

2. Follow: You must follow Ehud AI and EAII on social media to qualify.

3. Submit: Upload your file and details at creativeaward.ai.

4. Share: You may post a teaser (up to 1 minute) to promote your entry, but do not release the full song until winners are announced!

Note on Rights: You retain ownership of your music, but by entering, you grant Ehud AI/EAII the right to share and promote your work for competition purposes.
